Barack Obama Commercial Not Airing on Major Network
Presidential Candidate Barack Obama's half-hour campaign ad is airing on the major broadcast networks Wednesday night -- but you won't be seeing it on one of them. Read on to find out why!
Reportedly acting in the interest of maintaining its normal Wednesday night line-up, ABC failed to talk the Obama campaign into letting them air the commercial on a different night, says the Associated Press. Similarly, CNN declined to pick up the ad. "We did not want to pre-empt our programming lineup with a 30-minute spot," a CNN spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday. "We'd rather use our air to continue to cover the campaign, candidates and issues like we always do from all points of view with the best political team on television."
The ad, airing six days before Election Day, will be broadcast on CBS, NBC and Fox at 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Good Luck Barack!
