A source close to Paris tells People magazine the celeb couple split several days ago.
"She is saddened by the breakup but they're just too different and they wanted different things in life," says the mag's source. "He was loyal and sweet but it was time to take a break."
Paris and Benji's romance blossomed earlier this year. Benji's twin brother and Good Charlotte bandmate, Joel Madden, is engaged to Paris' "Simple Life" pal Nicole Richie.
