Sarah Palin Says Public Good-Bye To Son

Sarah Palin's 19-year-old son Track will be deployed to Iraq, but not without hearing some inspiring words from his mom.

The Republican vice presidential nominee said good-bye to her son and 4,000 troops of the Army's Stryker Brigade Combat Team Thursday on a tarmac in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, says the Associated Press.

"We're going to miss you," Palin told the troops. "We can't help it. We're going to miss you."

In her speech to the unit, Palin did not mention her son by name.

Beau Biden, the 39-year-old son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Biden, will also be going to Iraq as a military lawyer.
