Occupants of Car that Hit Shia LaBeouf Charged
Two people who were in a vehicle that hit actor Shia LaBeouf's car in July in West Hollywood have been charged with misdemeanor lying to police.
Kimberly Bent and Herbert Simon were charged with one count each of giving false information to a police officer.
Officials announced last week that Shia will not face charges related to the car accident that left him with an injured hand. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office told ET they would not file charges because of insufficient evidence.
LaBeouf was involved in the accident on July 27, when the vehicle occupied by Bent and Simon collided with the young actor's pickup truck. The 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' star underwent hand surgery after being injured in the crash, and his injury was written into the script of his upcoming movie, 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,' which is currently filming.
