Alex Rodriguez and his estranged wife Cynthia have settled their divorce, says the New York Daily News. The settlement brings an end to the ex-couple's five year marriage, as well as their months-long public fallout which saw various reports link the Yankees all-star to Madonna.
"Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings," A-Rod's lawyer, Alan Kluger, said in a statement.
Kluger didn't divulge details of the settlement.
Alex and Cynthia have two young daughters together. Last month, the NYDN reported that the ex-couple was quietly negotiating the divorce deal to protect their children.
Prior to that, A-Rod filed court papers requesting that his prenup be enforced and that allegations of "extramarital affairs and other misconduct" be stricken from the record.
