Jack Nicholson, Other Stars Nominated For New Jersey Hall of Fame

Acting great Jack Nicholson, along with musician Jon Bon Jovi, NBA heavyweight Shaquille O'Neal and others, are nominees to the New Jersey Hall of Fame, says the Associated Press.

Ten inductees will be selected for the hall's second class, five through public members' online voting through Nov. 30 and five chosen by the academy, says the AP.

"As with our first class of nominees presented in 2007, this assemblage of New Jersey Hall of Fame nominees is indeed impressive," Bart Oates tells the AP. Oates is chairman of the hall's board of commissioners.

The hall nominates those in the field of arts and entertainment, history, sport and other categories. To be eligible, nominees must have lived in the Garden State for a minimum of five years, says the AP.

Bruce Springsteen was among the hall's inaugural class of inductees last year.
