Gary Coleman Charged with Reckless Driving and Disorderly Conduct

ET confirms the news that former "Diff'rent Strokes" star Gary Coleman has been charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct after allegedly hitting a man with his car earlier this month in Utah.

Earlier today, ET was first to obtain a new lawsuit against Coleman and his wife Shannon Price, which will be filed in Utah later today, according to the plaintiff's attorney. The plaintiff is Colt Rushton, the man Coleman allegedly hit.

Now, the exclusive details from the lawsuit:

Rushton claims while at a local bowling alley, he noticed Coleman and his party and took a couple of pictures of the actor. Paul Rohbock, a member of Coleman's party, approached Rushton telling him he could not take photos unless he paid Coleman $20 per pic. Rushton says he declined the offer.

Rushton claims that as he exited the bowling alley he noticed Coleman's car and decided to take another photo of him with his cell phone and that soon after he was "attacked, without warning, from behind by Price and/or Rohbock, who clawed his arm and grabbed his cell phone away from him."

He goes on to claim that he was then "attacked without warning by Coleman, who hit him in the chest and other parts of his body."

Rushton claims he told Coleman and his party he would delete the photos but Price refused to return the phone.

Rushton goes on to claim he approached the driver's front fender area when Coleman "slammed the truck into reverse, swerved and swung the front of the truck into him, hitting him, throwing him to the ground and possibly running him over."

Rushton says that he continues to suffer from injuries incurred in the incident and is continuing to seek medical treatment.
