Carrie Underwood's CMA Honors!

Carrie Underwood has crooned her way to the Country Music Association's heart! It was announced today that the former "American Idol" and current chart-topper's Carnival Ride was nominated for Album of the Year, along with Kenny Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, Alan Jackson's Good Time, George Strait's Troubadour and Brooks & Dunn's Cowboy Town.

Carrie's fellow blonde belter Taylor Swift, who was on hand to announce the nominations, was honored with a nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year, where she'll compete with Underwood, Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride.

Male Vocalist of the Year noms go to Chesney, Jackson, Strait, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley.

The CMA awards are scheduled to air November 12 on ABC.
